OPIS

Over the incredible period of four million years, huge herds of mammoths populated large parts of our prehistoric earth. The last specimens of this majestic species became extinct only about 4000 years ago. As the preferred prey of early man, the mammoth played an important role at that time. Almost completely preserved mammoths are repeatedly found in the Siberian ice, perfectly preserved by the permanent sub-zero temperatures. A molar of such a mammoth provides the handle material for this noble collector's knife. For more than 35 years the Boker Scout has been a constant in our assortment, whereby the term "constant" has been taken literally for most of this time. It was not until 2015 that the Boy Scout, an elegant gentleman's and waistcoat pocket version of this classic knife, saw the light of day. The Junior Scout, which is positioned between the Scout and the Boy Scout in terms of size, bridges the gap between these two versions. With its slim profile and seven-centimetre long blade, it offers a little more hand strength than the Boy Scout, but still a much higher level of comfort than the classic Scout. It is similar in design to its siblings and has a CNC-milled nickel silver body. The completely redesigned Spearpoint blade with an elegant ricasso on the back of the blade gives the Junior Scout a more modern and dynamic appearance without being obtrusive or even aggressive. It is made of ice-hardened N690 with 60 to 61 HRC and is locked by a stable backlock. This makes the Junior Scout Mammut a handy but sturdy pocket knife that combines classic, elegance and history in an almost inimitable way. With lanyard hole. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory Solingen. With noble floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.
